Cajun Salmon and Shrimp with Creamy Garlic Parmesan Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 lb salmon
- 1/4 lb shrimp
- 3 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 tsp red crushed pepper (optional)
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh Parmesan cheese, grated
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Season the Seafood:
- Season the salmon with 2 tsp of Cajun seasoning.
- Season the shrimp with 1 tsp of Cajun seasoning.
- Cook Salmon:
- Heat a large skillet with some oil over medium-high heat.
- Cook the salmon for 1-2 minutes on each side, starting with the skin side down.
- Transfer the salmon to the preheated oven and bake for 7 minutes.
- Cook Shrimp:
- While the salmon is baking, heat a medium-sized skillet with some oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 40 seconds on each side.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
- Prepare Creamy Sauce:
- In the same skillet used for the shrimp, add the minced garlic and red crushed pepper (if using).
- Cook for 20 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the lemon juice, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve:
- Pour the creamy garlic Parmesan sauce over the cooked salmon and shrimp.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
