Ritz Cracker Salted Caramel Ice Cream Cake
Ingredients:
- 2 packets of Ritz crackers
- 1/2 cup (113 grams) of melted butter
- 1.5 liters of vanilla or caramel flavored ice cream
- 1 cup (240 ml) of salted caramel sauce
Instructions:
- Crush the Ritz crackers into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
- In a bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter until well combined.
- Press the cracker mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
- Place the crust in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up.
- Once the crust is firm, spread half of the ice cream evenly over the crust.
- Drizzle half of the salted caramel sauce over the ice cream layer.
- Repeat with the remaining ice cream and salted caramel sauce, creating layers.
- Smooth the top with a spatula and return the cake to the freezer for at least 4 hours, or until completely frozen.
- Before serving, let the cake sit at room temperature for a few minutes to soften slightly for easier slicing.
