Beef Brisket Recipe

Beef Brisket Recipe:

Ingredients:

- 1 (3 pound) beef brisket, trimmed of fat

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can beer

- 1 (12 ounce) bottle tomato-based chili sauce

- ¾ cup packed brown sugar

Directions:

Preparation:

Gather all ingredients. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).

Seasoning:

Season brisket on all sides with salt and pepper and place it in a glass baking dish. Cover the brisket with a layer of thinly sliced onion.

 Sauce Preparation:

In a medium bowl, mix together beer, chili sauce, and brown sugar until well combined.

Pouring Sauce:

Pour the beer, chili sauce, and brown sugar mixture over the brisket in the baking dish, ensuring it's evenly distributed.

Covering:

Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil to seal in the flavors.

Baking:

Bake the brisket in the preheated oven for 3 hours. After 3 hours, remove the aluminum foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes to allow the brisket to develop a flavorful crust.

 Resting:

Once cooked, let the brisket rest and cool slightly before slicing.

Serving:

Slice the brisket and return it to the baking dish. Reheat in the oven with the sauce spooned over the sliced meat.
