Pepper Steak


Ingredients:

2 lbs Skirt Steak

1 Green Bell Pepper

1 Red Bell Pepper

6 Scallions

3 cloves Garlic

1 Tbsp Grated Ginger

6 Tbsp Cooking Sherry

6 Tbsps Soy Sauce

6 tsps Cornstarch

5 tsps Brown Sugar

2 Tbsps Oyster Sauce

1 Tbsp Sesame Oil

4 tsps Rice Vinegar

1 Tbsp Black Pepper

4 Tbsps Canola Oil


Instructions:

Add the steak to a large bowl then add two tablespoons of soy sauce and mix well.

In another bowl combine the Sherry and the remaining four tablespoons of soy sauce.

Pour in the sesame oil and rice vinegar.

Add the oyster sauce, brown sugar and black pepper.

Add the cornstarch then whisk until well combined.

Using medium heat bring your pan to temperature then add your oil.

Add the steak to the pan and allow it to Brown for 4 minutes.

After four minutes remove it from the pan and set it aside until later.

To your pan add the white portion of your scallion garlic and ginger and saute for one minute.

Add the green bell pepper, red bell pepper and the green portion of your scallion and saute for two minutes.

Return the steak to the pan then add the sauce and allow it to simmer for four minutes.
