Deconstructed Sushi Bowl Recipe
Ingredients:
- White rice: 1 cup, cooked
- Crab meat: 1/2 cup, cooked and shredded (can substitute with imitation crab or shrimp)
- Cucumber: 1/2, sliced into thin sticks or cubes
- Avocado: 1, diced
- Sriracha: to taste
- Mayo: 2 tbsp (Japanese mayo preferred)
- Soy sauce (or liquid aminos): to taste
- Everything but the bagel seasoning: for topping
Instructions:
- Prepare the rice: Cook the rice according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly.
- Mix the sauce: In a small bowl, combine the mayo and sriracha to make a spicy mayo sauce. Adjust the amount of sriracha to your preferred heat level.
- Assemble the bowl:
- Start with a base of cooked white rice in each bowl.
- Arrange the crab meat, cucumber slices, and avocado on top of the rice.
- Add condiments:
- Drizzle soy sauce or liquid aminos over the top.
- Spoon the spicy mayo sauce over the ingredients.
- Garnish: Sprinkle everything but the bagel seasoning generously over the bowl.
- Serve and enjoy: Mix everything together before eating to ensure all flavors are well distributed.
